In the workshop we explore possibilities and resources related to work with the body. The approach is related to actor training, and development of individual creative potential. The research on the movement starts from the real factor of a body in space, exploring the physical limits and imaginary, and resources. The work begins with the basic elements of the situation and develops in the tension between two poles: on the one hand, the current context given in the report body / space and actor / audience with the expectations and conventions implied, on the other hand, the flow of individual consciousness, the flow of inner images, memories and feelings. In addition to being guided through the physical training, participants are immersed in fluid sessions where everyone chooses the specific focus of the creative process, in a process of "interrogation" individual looking in the interplay between internal and external elements which are relevant to develop their Action / performative presence. The intensity of work on the move / breath / voice invites you to experience the performance space through the awakening of the body. The proposed methodology is based on a review of body work developed by J. Grotowski and principles from contemporary dance.


Nhandan Chirco is a performing artist, lives and works between Italy and Serbia, Slovenia and Croatia. In '94 / '98 is the artistic team of the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards. Since '98 he collaborated with director and actor Branko Popovic, with the theater director Tomi Janezic Slovenian, Croatian Zlatko Sviben with the director, has taken courses in contemporary dance and dance contribution (Min Tanaka, Carlotta Ikeda) and has developed several professional collaborations long-term in the field of contemporary dance, as with the dance company EN - KNAP - Ljubljana, with the choreographer Maja Delak, and others. He recently collaborated with musicians of electronic music: Blank Disc, R. Tozai, JC Potvin, Hotel Nuclear, M. Aleksic, I. Lecico. VIA THE BORDER / THE EAST SIDE (of the moon) - residencies and presentations from Eastern Europe

Living and working in the ten years between Italy, Serbia, Slovenia and Croatia, I got to know bottom of the scene in the former Yugoslavia, to notice the quality 'and specific strengths in both traditional forms and in a more targeted research and contemporaneity '. I also realized how weak communication between Italy and these regions of Eastern Europe, though geographically very close. There 's a significant lack of information about what is happening in the arts, and in general, on the other side of the Adriatic, as if our national borders were more' thicker on the east side. It is also a mental edge, the result of a separation taken root in the imagination, derived from the polarization of the Cold War period. In the capital Ljubljana, Zagreb, Belgrade and Sofia there is 'a community' independent artistic lively, artistic and theoretical production intense and articulate, with a strong theatrical and musical tradition. The program VDC / TES, launched by YANVII in 2010 in the context of the festival in collaboration with The Hotel Limbo imperfect laboratory, continued with the participation of the Teatro Petrella, Rad'Art Project and other local institutions and foreign, and 'the result of a series of personal encounters and artistic collaborations. I have intentionally engaged artists who in many cases are also friends, who I know your work directly, with whom I sometimes collaborated and shared their moments of ricercaseguendo in his artistic development over a fairly long time. Currently the program events are made only by the desire of artists and professionals involved to join forces to make them possible. The program offers some of the artists' relevant and / or innovative from Eastern Europe, providing not only presentations of shows and concerts, but also moments of reflection and openness to the creative process. The freezing process is a break between movements. Together with the actions of the performers, the haptic interfaces and moving images, the performance raises questions about the hyper-sexualization and pornografizzazione, the fetishization of consumerism, the mechanisms of image and visual culture, the idealization of love and the meaning of art and culture.
