Vasari in his Lives devotes an entire biography, describing
most of his works. From the human point of view, however, he rather harshly criticizes him, calling him an artist as weird and licentious, always in the company of boys (this was called "Sodom"), which took home all kinds of animals, whimsical work and who used to dress in an extravagant and showy.
