The exhibition, with particular traditions, planning and organization by Emanuela Venturi, was promoted by Mazzini Italian ONLUS (AMI), Forum for Women Cesena, Municipal Committee and 150 th celebrations Municipality of Cesena.
The event was inspired by the series of panels-didactic iconography that has achieved the MAI in 2008, the bicentenary of the birth of one of the most fascinating personalities of history: Cristina Trivulzio Belgiojoso .
The exhibition panels runs, including images and brief biographical and anecdotal, over the long century par excellence, to provide, through admirable female characters, not just the women who were in Risorgimento, but also what , more complex, it was the "Renaissance Women", that slow and not yet completed the process of self-awareness and awareness in society and in the home by the so-called fairer sex (which, unfortunately, kind of, many times, has very little ...).
" the panels I decided to combine objects that give a visible and tangible sign of the female body as an object and is better suited than the dress? To this end I have involved local schools that have courses dedicated to fashion or clothing, and institutions that have served or are specially designed women's clothing nineteenth century style, from the Restoration to the early 900, that the lady returned more than ever in the ranks of decorative objects, and after storms Jacobin and Napoleonic, the woman who lightens and simplifies your clothing and began to make sport and to fight for the right to vote, work, study and divorce.
